Abstract


ABSTRACT
Many students recognize that mathematics is difficult science. They think it is a collection of
rules with complex calculations, because the students do not understand what exactly about
the math. To solve this problem, that the teacher requires a lot of effort and ideas in learning
activities. This research to development about learning by using PRIMA CARD based
contextual issues to help improve students' understanding of the material up the side of
curved space. The results showed the average test scores of students in cycle II was 77.58
with a highest score of 100 and the lowest score of 60. The number of students who have met
the standard criteria of study completed with the thoroughness of the 62 are 27 children 33
children, while that has not been studied thoroughly with six kids. When compared with cycle
I, on the second cycle there was increased scores of 7.88 or an increase of 23.88%. The
number of students who achieve exhaustiveness study also experienced an increase of 5
children with the percentage increase 15.16%. In the post test results showed an average
score of the post test scores is 72.42. The number of students have met the 33 children who
completed value in accordance with the provisions and criteria of exhaustiveness 62 is 33
children. The highest value obtained was 85 and the lowest value of 65. The number of
students who received the lowest scores as many as 6 people. The results of the calculation of
the score of learning showed 16.67% of the teachers put forward observer in the learning
performance of both teachers and 83.33% of the teachers put forward observer performance
in learning a very good teacher. Score teaching and learning activities in this second cycle
increased by 16.66%. The results of the calculation related performance scores shows the
average performance of students during the process of learning enough. Of the 33 children
who showed good performance by category is 7 children and the remaining 26 children have
enough performance category. The results of the calculation of the score of the project
activities of students showed an average of 73.79. Highest score lowest score was 85 and 65.
Based on the results of data analysis we can conclude that learning PRIMA CARD can not
only enhance students 'understanding of the material up the side of curved space, but also
enhance the students' activeness and performance of students during learning activities.
